Our DATKids programming contains our largest and longest running programs. Working with youth is, and has always been a priority with Dathouse. Read on to learn about our current programs.

DATKIDS AFTER SCHOOL: In partnership with James A Garfield, IPS 31, our local neighborhood school, we provide a safe space for kids in grades K-5 to play, learn about leadership and teamwork, and build other life skills, during the after school hours (3:45 - 5:30pm). This program is free to James A Garfield families, and lasts from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

DATKIDS ACADEMY: As a response to the challenges of navigating a Covid-19 world, we created a nature-based cottage school tailored for the needs of neurodiverse students. Our staff and parents/guardians operate as team teachers, creating an alternative, primarily outdoor, education for students in grades K-6. DATKIDS SUMMER CAMP: We are currently developing plans for interest-focused weeklong day camps at DATKids Academy for summer 2024. Contact Bethany Friesen for more info at bethany@dathouse.org

DATKIDS FOR TEENS: We are actively creating our middle school programming. A combination of mentoring and fun events for students in grades 6 through 12. More to come!
